P.S. Speaking of bridges, "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)," by Simon & Garfunkel, first appeared on the duo's album Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme (1966). In this video, a fan has recorded a live version of the song as it appeared on the LP Simon & Garfunkel's Greatest Hits (1972). You actually get to see the LP record playing! Old tech wonders never cease to amaze moi.
P.P.S. I would be remiss if I didn't include Simon & Garfunkel's greatest hit, "Bridge Over Troubled Water," from the album by the same name (1970). If you have the original LP in quadraphonic (as well as stereo), then you probably don't have a record-player that could do justice to the quad version. (Quadraphonic sound was a cool idea for high-fidelity listening, but, like Beta videotape format, it just never caught on.) Was there a better 20th century folk/pop songwriter than Paul Simon?
Hi! My friend likes to read, too. She goes to the library all the time. :)
