Today Greenwood Public Library presented the second annual Great Cow Drop in the football field next to the library.  There were lots of fun activities, and several vendors displayed their wares and services.  Click the photos to bigify.

The Great Cow Drop was a tremendous success, with many lucky patrons winning donated prizes.  Everybody had a lot of fun, and proceeds helped support Greenwood Public Library.

Last Saturday's Great Cow Drop at Greenwood Public Library (GPL) was a glorious success, mostly because I now have one of those skydiving bovines.  Actually, the event raised money for GPL, which is the main thing.

P.S.  At the 2011 Chick-fil-A Bowl, parachuting bovines dropped from the skies.  Well, from the dome ceiling, actually.  Who was firing the flak at them, I'd like to know!  Oh--that was just fireworks before the big event.  Want to know who won the football game?

Skydiving moo-cows are landing in the lobby (by the patron services desk) at Greenwood Public Library (GPL).  No, it's not a bovine invasion; it's a preview of the parachuting Chick-fil-A mascots that I blogged about last week.

On Saturday, July 27, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, to raise funds for GPL, these cows will be jumping out of a helicopter hovering over Greenwood Middle School football field next to GPL.  For a $10 donation to the Library, you are entitled to one of the skydiving bovine, which you may redeem for a free meal at a local Chick-fil-A (more details at the event).  Plus, your donation gives you a chance to win prizes.  There are lots of great prizes available.

Join GPL this Saturday at 10 a.m. for food, crafts, games, and flying cows!  But watch out!  Those critters look mighty cute, but cows are heavy dudes.  Well, not these little guys, but, still.  Just saying.

"The cows are falling!  The cows are falling!"  Well, it's nearly Henny Penny, if you've read the Chicken Little folktale.

Our friends at Greenwood Public Library will be having the Great Cow Drop fundraiser on Saturday, July 27, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  You know you want a parachuting cow!  They are SO cute and cuddly!  Your $10 donation to GPL entitles you to one of these skydiving dudes, as well as a chance to win some great prizes!  Want to see a prize list?  Moi, too.  But you'll have to visit the library to see it.

The Lady With the Red Hair will be there selling baskets to raise money for GPL.  I'd go moiself, but it's too far to walk to Greenwood, and I don't have a motor vehicle, although I am an excellent driver.
