Skydiving Bovines @ GPL

Here's something you don't often see in a public library.

Skydiving moo-cows are landing in the lobby (by the patron services desk) at Greenwood Public Library (GPL).  No, it's not a bovine invasion; it's a preview of the parachuting Chick-fil-A mascots that I blogged about last week.

On Saturday, July 27, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, to raise funds for GPL, these cows will be jumping out of a helicopter hovering over Greenwood Middle School football field next to GPL.  For a $10 donation to the Library, you are entitled to one of the skydiving bovine, which you may redeem for a free meal at a local Chick-fil-A (more details at the event).  Plus, your donation gives you a chance to win prizes.  There are lots of great prizes available.

Join GPL this Saturday at 10 a.m. for food, crafts, games, and flying cows!  But watch out!  Those critters look mighty cute, but cows are heavy dudes.  Well, not these little guys, but, still.  Just saying.

P.S.  Here's a promo trailer for the Great Cow Drop from a recent installment of the video series, GPL Buzz, on the GPL YouTube Channel.  This is one of the best public library promotional video series on the Internet.  Subscribe to keep up with their latest news.
