Just in time for Cauli Le Chat Appreciation Day (TODAY!), I saw yesterday that the Library's Youth Services Department was preparing for my special banquet, which hasn't been announced but surely must be scheduled. There was no mistaking the signs.
Would-Be Winged Dinners For Moi?
Those eggs remind moi of something.
Hey! Those Are Incubators
Temperature Inside is Nearly 100 Degrees Fahrenheit
That settles it! I'm now certain that those eggs are chicksoons.
Some Freer Family Expert Chicksoon Wranglers
I recognize those dudes. They're from the Freer family, with whom "Flat" Cauli I spent some quality farmpaw time. So there can be no question whatsoever that these eggs are destined to become winged dinners chicksoons.
Eggs Are Warm and Cozy
Remember last year when Broadway Gal had a hatching chicks blog complete with live-action videos? Happening again.
Don't miss a minute of the action! Check out the hatching blog to remain abreast (no pun intended) of the latest developments.
Who's going to stand guard this year over the chicksoons? Last year, it was the Library's Knight in Shining Armor. Who will rise to the occasion this time?
I can always count on "Flat" Cauli II.

P.S. "Watching and Waiting," by the Moody Blues, appeared on the album To Our Children's Children's Children (1969). I doubt Justin Hayward and Ray Thomas were thinking about chicksoons when they wrote this tune, however.
Whoa, that's awesome - it's like a vegetable garden for kitties!
ReplyDeleteI'm SHOCKED, Cauli! SHOCKED!
ReplyDelete-Broadway Gal
It's okay, Broadway Gal. Scowl-Face just told moi that none of the chicksoons is tuna-flavored, so I'll pass on din-dins.
