What's this book cart doing in front of the MPL Circulation Desk?

Oh, I get it. It's a fundraiser for United Way of Central Indiana.
Drop your pocket change (for you humans who have pockets or purses--we felines obviously don't) into the jar with your favorite MPL staffer pictured on the front. Pocket change adds up, so every coin counts.
There is a SERIOUS omission here that should be obvious to everyone.
Where is MY Jar?
Just Asking
I assume that the BizMeister ran out of jars, but, surely, she will be placing my photo upon the very next one she obtains. I can't imagine that this oversight was deliberate.
Why not put my photo on Scowl-Face's jar? Nobody will put any money in his jar, but they would for moi. It's just common sense.
Be sure to stop by the MPL Circulation Desk and demand a "Cauli jar" in which to place your coins. Gold dollar coins are welcome. I'm partial to Sacagawea and Susan B. Anthony dollars. Just saying.

P.S. "The Money Song," taken from "the Money Programme" sketch in Monty Python's Flying Circus, was one of Eric Idle's masterpieces of musical wit. "There is nothing quite as wonderful as money," his TV moderator character sings. Pretty much hits the nail on the head for most humans, who are, let's face it, rather fond of currencies. And "beautifully balanced bank books."
Cauli, would you wear a "super librarian" costume if you won?
ReplyDeleteIf it were tastefully tailored to fit my perfect feline form, then sure I would.
DeleteCauli, they did not want to use you because it would have been an unfair advantage - you would have won paws down!
