Last Snowfall of 2016?

Depending upon how you look at it, today was our first accumulating snowfall of the 2016-2017 winter season; or it was (possibly) the last snowfall of 2016 (December still has a ways to go yet, so let's not count our winged dinners early.  Just saying.).  Last sounds better, but then there's all of 2017 to contend with, so we're not out of the proverbial woods yet.

The snow is quite pretty, especially when I'm inside safe and warm (at home; I don't roam around town anymore--hence my retired moniker). Minions, make with the winter wonderland library photos.  As always, click the pictures to bigify.

Want to see the snow actually falling?  Sure you do.

Drive safely out there!  If you're walking, also be careful--sidewalks are slick.  Of course, we felines have our own built-in traction devices--you could call it four-paw drive--so we're pretty sure-footed on snow and ice. Well, sure-pawed, really.

Our Winter Reading Program

Our Winter Reading Program has begun at MPL.  While you're cooped up inside because of the cold weather, you might as well enjoy yourselves and do something useful.  Note to my minions, however:  feed moi first, then read on your own time.  Just saying.

Click Snowperson to See Our Winter Reading Flyer

The program runs from December 1 through January 31.

Questions?  We have librarians for that.  I'm more of a "big-picture" feline boss.

Ask our youth services librarians:
  • Casey at the Bat (i.e., Miss Casey);
  • The Jessinator (i.e., Miss Jess); or
  • The Catbrarian (i.e., Miss Teresa).
or our adult program coordinator:
You may reach any of them at:
