"Tea-Minus" 15 Till Tess

As I write, it is now T-minus 15 minutes until our "Morning Tea With Tess Gerritsen" program begins.  Make that "tea-minus," I'll venture.

Many thanks to the Decorinator, BizMeister, Boss Friend (as in Friends of the Library), Boss Lady, and Programma Mama for their fine job setting up the "Bone-ita" Marley Community Room for this event.  Minions, make with the photo gallery.  As always, click the images to bigify.

 Quite the Spread

Our (Continuously Playing) PowerPoint Slideshow
Showcases Several Tess Blockbusters

 Ready to Check-Out

 Forensic Pathology, Anyone?

 "We Deal With Stiffs"

(We lifted that line from an old Monty Python sketch.)

Not a Real Dead Body, But an Incredible Simulation

 "Hoppy" Helps Out
(Get It?  Only One Foot)

(That "hoppy" joke was Boss Friend's, so don't yell at moi.  Actually, she called the skeleton "Bone-ita Hopper," which is pretty funny.)

 "Dem Bones, Dem Bones"
(Sing Along, James Weldon Johnson)

Boss Lady's X-Ray?  Just Asking

You can see remodelling of breaks to a couple of ribs close to the sternum.  Or it could have been bubble gum stuck to the x-ray machine.  Your call.

This is going to be our best adult program ever!  Too bad I wasn't invited, but I'm doing the roving reporter thing.

P.S.  "I'm Shipping Up to Boston," by the Dropkick Murphys, is the theme song to the television series Rizzoli & Isles.  The song appeared on the group's CD The Warrior's Code (2005).  The band plays its signature tune in this music video (above).

Ask "Bone-ita" Marley

Our librarian, "Bone-ita" Marley, recommends these suspense novels by Tess Gerritsen, whom we blogged about yesterday, and who will be visiting MPL on October 8, 2013.

You can tell she's library staff, so she must know her stuff.

She's using her left hand to point to one book.  Her other hand is recommending another.

There's an inside joke here that's explained in a previous blog posting.

Thanks, Mrs. Marley, for being part of our program promotion.  You can blame the Decorinator.  She came up with the pun.

Mrs. Marley may haunt our library, by the way.   I certainly don't want to get on her bad side.  After all, we've had poltergeist activity here.  Could've been Mrs. Marley.  Better safe than sorry, I'll venture.

Your Roving Reporter On The Go,

Cauli Le Chat

P.S.  "The Skeleton Dance" (2009) is pretty cute.
