How well do you know your famous Mooresvillians? Or is it Mooresvillans? Minions, make with the grammar police.
All of these famous folks lived in Mooresville or nearby. All had Mooresville connections (e.g., attended school here, worked here, lived and shopped here, etc.) Can you guess who they are? (No fair right-clicking the photos. I'm watching, so don't even think it.)
(Hint: Not the slobberdog, although he was more famous than his not-quite-but-almost-as-famous human.)
That last one--the dude on the right is the famous Hoosier. He wasn't famous until he was in his mid-30's, however, so using this photo (ca. 1888) is a bit unfair. I wanted to make it challenging!
Assuming you didn't cheat by right-clicking the photos, how'd you score? I think 50 percent correctly identified is respectable for non-felines. Check our Famous Mooresvillians web page for the answers.

P.S. David Bowie performed his number one smash hit, "Fame," on the television program Soul Train (episode 165, which was probably around 1975). You could look it up. I'm taking a nap.
