Crafty Gal is Made of Awesome

Aggie McPooch says that Crafty Gal is made of awesome.  True statement!, as Sammy the Toucan would say.  In this week's early literacy video blog, Crafty Gal and Aggie showcased a couple of great children's books, plus they featured Crafty Gal's holiday reading bundles that are available throughout our youth services department.  Each bundle has several holiday books all set for your reading pleasure.  What a great concept!  I'd say Crafty Gal is a Maid (as in Maiden, not housekeeper) of Awesome.  Like Superman (the Man of Steel), without the colorful tights and cape.

I'll let them tell you all about it.

& More, by Crafty Gal & Aggie McPooch

There's a shout-out in the video to Broadway Gal and Sammy the Toucan, so watch for it around the 8:44 to  9:14 marks.

We've got a book trailer for one of the books Crafty Gal and Aggie discussed.

The Mitten, by Jan Brett
(MPL Book Trailer #147)

Jan Brett (or one of her minions) sent my Library an email saying that she really liked our book trailer.  That was nice of her.  We really like all of her terrific books.

P.S.  Crafty Gal's awesomeness reminded moi of "Wonder," by Natalie Merchant, from her CD Tigerlily (1995).  Here's a video clip of Merchant performing the song on Late Show With David Letterman (1996).
