Gnomes in the Gneighborhood
Crafty Gal has created a superb display in which Morris the Gnome reads to hedgehogs (although the little one looks like a mole to moi). It's quite the fabulous story time. Wait--it's more like a fableous, folklorish story time. (Those are not real words, but they oughtta be.)
Check out the details in Crafty Gal's latest early literacy blog post. We'll borrow her photos (as always, click images to bigify).

P.S. "Teeny Tiny Gnome" (1966) was intended as comic relief on the second Monkees album, but Don Kirshner, who had been hired to supervise the group's music, nixed the tune in favor of other fare from his stable of songwriters. "Teeny Tiny Gnome" finally appeared on the compilation album The Monkees Missing Links (volume one) (1987).
