Meet Ivy Technigal

Meet Ivy Technigal, who will be assuming Cataloger Queen's position as the Library's new youth services assistant & cataloger.  I'd show you her picture, but Scowl-Face hasn't taken one yet.  Well, he did, sort of.  Watch this video, and you'll see her.

Libraries and Old Dewey, by Suzanne Walker
(Watch for Ivy Technigal around the 2:55-3:01 marks)

Her "Cauli nickname" is Ivy Technigal because:
  • She graduated from Ivy Tech; and
  • Her degree is in library technical services
Ivy Technigal just completed her internship (and final course) here at MPL, so she already knows her way around.  We like to hire our interns here.  Just ask Casey at the Bat, head of MPL Youth Services.

Ivy Technigal is not to be confused with "regular" Technigal, who is MPL Assistant Director/Head of Technical Services.  I suppose I could have come up with a totally different nickname for Ivy Technigal, but they don't grow on trees, you know.  Nicknames, I mean.  Well, I guess the two Technigals don't, either.

P.S.  "Ivy, Ivy," by the Left Banke, was released as a single (1967) but failed to break into Billboard's hot 100 singles chart (the song peaked at #119).
