Your Blood, Not Mine
On Saturday, June 29, 2013, from 2-4 p.m., the Indiana Blood Center (IBC) bloodmobile will be accepting donations at the Library. To sign-up, please visit the IBC DonorPoint website.
You can't miss the Bloodmobile. (Click images to bigify). It looks truly ginormous when you're standing next to it.
Donating blood saves many people's lives. That's a good thing for my human readers to do. We felines, however, can't give our blood, but I'm down with that. I like my kitty blood right where it is.
Skilled technicians (called phlebotomists) will painlessly draw your donation. You will probably get something tasty to eat or drink afterwards, which is reason enough for moi, if I were human, that is.

Save a life. Get a snack. It's all good.

P.S. Neil Sedaka, with the help of Elton John singing backing vocals, had a huge hit with "Bad Blood" (1975), which topped Billboard's hot 100 pop singles charts. The song was included on the LP Overnight Success (1975). This video looks like it was recorded from a television performance from around that time. Sedaka was best known for his pop tunes from the late 1950s and early 1960s, but his career was re-energized in the mid-1970s with this and several other hits.
