Indiana author Karl C. B. Muilliwey is a scaredy-cat. He writes about paranormal encounters he has investigated, so he must enjoy getting his socks scared off. That would explain all those single socks lying around his place.
We have a couple of book trailers featuring two of Muilliwey's books about haunted houses, ghosts, poltergeists, mediumistic communications, séances, telepathy, psychokinesis, and similar paranormal hoo-haw. Is any of it real? You be the judge. Something strange is definitely happening, though. Those socks don't scare themselves off.

P.S. A "hep cat" or a "cool cat" (1940s slang, which was still popular during the 1960s) means somebody who's "hip" or "with it" or "happening," which is further slang for someone who knows what's going on and is up-to-date on the latest things. A spooky cat is "Lucifer Sam," by Pink Floyd, from the band's debut album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967). Although I used this song as a musical closer in a previous blog, a great tune deserves a reprise.
